A Warm & Welcoming Thanksgiving Table with JSH Home

Hello, friends —

Jillian, here! With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I’m so excited to share how I styled our table for this cozy, gratitude-filled day using beautiful pieces from JSH Home. At our home, setting the table becomes a small ritual of sorts for me - I get to relax, be a bit creative, and have fun putting a table together that I know will soon be filled with my favorite people and delicious food! I admire the gorgeous designs JSH Home creates year after year for Thanksgiving and Christmas so it was an easy choice to look to them for my Thanksgiving table.

1. Start with the foundation: linen that feels lived-in and elevated

I laid down the Oak Leaf Ticking Table Linen from JSH Home, and instantly the table felt anchored. The subtle ticking stripe brings in a beautiful traditional sensibility to the table, and the “oak leaf” motif hints at autumn in the prettiest way. On top of that I added the matching napkins for each place setting because pairing the tablecloth and the napkin creates that cohesive, pulled-together feel but I also adore these napkins layered on for a fun print mixing moment!

When you choose your linens, here are two little tips:

  • Let the tablecloth drape just enough to feel generous, but not so long that it gets in the way.

  • For the napkins, fold them simply (a soft rectangle or a loose roll) and tuck them under the flatware or tie them with a thin ribbon or use a pretty napkin ring for a little extra charm.

2. Light it up: French Bordeaux Red Taper Candles

Mood lighting is everything. The French Bordeaux Red Taper Candles from JSH Home brought in a deep, rich color that feels perfectly seasonal. It’s not too bright, not too fussy, just elegant and inviting. I placed them in simple candlesticks, spaced evenly down the center of the table, and let their warm glow add softness.

If you’re using taper candles:

  • Light them 15 minutes before guests arrive so the area warms up.

  • If your table’s long, alternate heights or mix in a few low floral arrangements or pumpkin/gourd accents to keep the line interesting.

3. The finishing detail: “Thankful for” place cards

One of my favorite little touches is the “We Are Thankful for” place cards from JSH Home. As each guest arrives, invite them to write what they’re thankful for that year. Adding these place cards make that ritual feel meaningful. It’s a sweet way to visually weave gratitude into your gathering. I decided to do a mix of these place cards and the lovely Holiday Harvest Wreath Placards.

You can set them beside each plate, propped slightly on a small charger or under a linen napkin. And if you like, ask each person to share briefly what they wrote as you go around the table. It’s so fun to do with kids!

4. Why JSH Home is a go-to for holiday gatherings

I love JSH Home not only for their gorgeous linens and table pieces, but also because they make holiday prep fun and effortless. On their website you’ll find wrapping papers, ribbons, gift tags, kitchen and baking essentials, and home keeping items — so as you’re planning the table, don’t forget to look at their gift-wrap section. It’s brilliant for all your holiday gift-giving needs, too (and the colors coordinate beautifully with the table). I recently picked out some beautiful wrapping paper for upcoming holiday gifts! Their recipe collections are divine too! It’s really a one-stop-shop for those who love to entertain.

5. Enjoy the holidays with your loved ones!

We hope you have a special Thanksgiving full of delicious food and the people you love to be at the table with the most! - Jillian & Megan
