Meet the TableWith Founders Duo
Megan Kowalczyk and Jillian Eversole
Life continues to gets busier with careers, kids, travel, and home life, making it harder to catch up with friends. What if you could gather every month, share great food and conversation, and explore new cuisines - without the hassle of planning? That’s exactly what inspired founders Megan Kowalczyk (left) and Jillian Eversole (right) to create TableWith, a subscription-based platform that simplifies hosting or joining a cookbook club.
Megan
With a background in PR, branding, and food media, Megan has spent her career at the intersection of storytelling and culinary creativity. She’s led events for Modern Luxury magazines, managed brand strategy for Pillsbury, and worked on culinary campaigns for the Martha Stewart brand. She also launched her own food blog and created a line of luxury aprons - all experiences that shaped her passion for building meaningful food moments.
Megan lives in Chicago with her husband, their two toddlers and golden retriever. She loves spending time with her family, exploring the city’s vibrant food scene, and creating meaningful connections through shared meals. As a mom, she knows how hard it can be to make time for friends and trying new recipes - and she’s passionate about bringing people together in a way that feels effortless, fun, and memorable.
Jillian
With a decade of experience as a content creator and digital storyteller, Jillian thrives on connecting with others through thoughtful recommendations and meaningful conversations. Through her blog, Substack, and social media, she has collaborated with top lifestyle brands, honing her expertise in influencer marketing, brand partnerships, and event planning - experiences that led her to co-found TableWith. Jillian hopes to foster engaging shared culinary experiences that bring cookbooks to life with family and friends.
Jillian lives in Charleston with her husband, three young boys, and two labradors. Motherhood is her greatest inspiration, and she finds joy in her marriage, friendships, cooking, baking, reading, traveling, tennis, and the art of balancing life’s many roles. A nostalgic at heart, she is passionate about building community, cherishing traditions, and creating lasting connections.
Rapid Fire Questions with the TableWith Founders
In a round of rapid-fire questions, the founders shared a taste of their personalities, favorite flavors, and what makes their tables feel like home:
Q: Who are 3 people you’d love to pull up a chair at your table?
Jillian: Gwyneth Paltrow, Bunny Mellon, Ann Patchett, and Ina Garten (bonus points for 4 people!).
Megan: Martha Stewart (I’ll take all of her hostess tips and tricks!), Emma Grede and Kate Middleton.
Q: Cocktail or beverage of choice?
Jillian: Spicy skinny reposado margarita. If you know, you know!
Megan: Anything with bubbles - it always feels like a celebration! I’m currently in a Hugo Spritz phase.
Q: What is your favorite comfort food?
Jillian: The New York Times Old-Fashion Beef Stew is a forever favorite. A lamb shank on a really, really cold night (my mother always made this growing up over Christmas in Jackson Hole - ultimate comfort!). A caesar salad with avocado (my mom taught me to rate a restaurant by their caesar!).
Megan: I have a major sweet tooth, so my ultimate comfort treat is a warm chocolate chip walnut cookie from Levain Bakery (truly the best cookies ever-trust me, I’ve sampled more than my fair share!). On the savory side, when my husband and I lived next door to a butcher shop, our favorite winter ritual was bundling up, walking through the snow and picking up chuck roast to make this incredible pot roast dish from Grandbaby Cakes. It’s become such a cozy tradition and a dish my whole family now loves!
Q: Go-to dish to impress friends?
Jillian: I make a mean cowboy caviar.
Megan: My “Date Night Rigatoni” never fails. The perfect creamy and cozy dish for a crowd.
Q: Favorite cuisine to cook at home?
Jillian: Pasta! Does that count as a cuisine!?
Megan: Everything! I love trying new recipes I find online or ones that I’ve bookmarked in my cookbooks.
Q: What is your ideal dinner party theme?
Jillian: Mexican. My birthday is May 5th so I can’t help myself. I’m also dying to do a murder mystery dinner - who wants to host?!
Megan: Cookbook clubs! I love using the cookbook as the centerpiece and inspiration for the tablescape. It always sparks creativity and pushes me to explore themes I might not have come up with on my own.
Q: Music or podcast while cooking?
Jillian: Music! I have lots of recommendations for you right this way…
Megan: Music for me too! My favorite moments are when my kids turn the kitchen into a dance floor while I cook. Nothing brings me more joy!
Q: Favorite TableWith feature?
Jillian: The grocery list feature! You can check off the items you already have at home so shopping is a breeze when you get to the grocery store. I’m also so looking forward to trying so many different authors + cuisines. AND we have a feature we’ll be rolling out before the end of the year that will spread the joy of TableWith even farther… stay tuned!
Megan: Oh goodness, so many! But if I had to pick (only a few), my top choice would be the club chat. I love that it keeps all the conversation in one place - no more phones blowing up or endless scrolling to find your club’s messages. I’m also obsessed with the Inside the Cookbook page. As someone who reads a cookbook cover to cover, I love learning more about the author and getting to see the fun exclusive content they share. And lastly, I’m so grateful for the push notifications - they make the planning process completely effortless. No need to ping people to host, RSVP, or pick their recipe because the app handles it all for you!
Q: A hosting tip you think everyone should know…
Jillian: Before refilling your glass votives with fresh candles, place a few drops of water in the bottom of the votive. Fast forward to the end of your dinner party - your burned candles will pop right out! Psst, I love these hand blown glass votives (we used them on our launch party dinner tables) and these wallet-friendly rattan wrapped votives.
Megan: You don’t have to do it all. I think due to social media hostessing has started to mean the perfect tablescape and picture-worthy food, but it should really be about enjoying yourself. If that means picking up a pre-made side dish that you throw in the oven last minute, outsourcing florals, or skipping them altogether - do it! No one will remember the shortcuts; they’ll remember the laughter, conversation, and moments together around the table.
Q: One ingredient you always have on hand?
Jillian: coconut milk and coconut cream!
Megan: Maldon sea salt flakes - I love topping a baked good with it!
